Position Summary:
As a Machine Operator with Agritek Industries, you will play a vital role in the efficient production of quality parts for on-time delivery to our customers. Your dedication to precision and attention to detail will contribute to our reputation for excellence as we strive to meet and exceed customer expectations.
- Starting Pay: $19 per hour
- Schedule Options: Mon – Fri (half days) or 3-4 longer days
- Start Time: 3:00 or later
- Schedule days/times are flexible!
Core Functions
- Load raw materials into the machine ensuring proper alignment
- Operate stamping press or bender machine to form materials according to specified dimensions
- Monitor machine controls, adjusting setting as needed to achieve accurate and precise bends
- Maintain high quality, productivity and efficiency standards while producing the required quantity of parts within established specifications and tolerances
- Able to recognize defects listed on instruction sheet
- Complete all documentation and process requirements to comply with ISO:9001 quality standards
- Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area
- Adhere to all company, local, state and federal protocol and safety regulations
Skills, Abilities & Physical Requirements
- Mechanical aptitude in how machines function and are cared for
- Ability to follow directions and work well in a team
- Ability to measure and use basic shop tools such as calipers, micrometers, etc.
- Ability to read and solve simple math problems
- Prolonged periods working on feet, using tools, and performing repetitive actions that entail frequent bending and stooping
Education and Experience
- Previous experience as a machine operator preferred
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Proven integrity and moral character
- Favorable references
