    Agritek Industries is currently seeking Production CNC Machine Operators to join our team.

    As our new CNC Machine Operator, you will produce machine components using lathes, grinders, mills, and similar equipment. You will learn to apply knowledge from your training to reach proficiency in adjusting the programs, operating, and implementing machine processes while maintaining company safety and quality standards.

    Machine Operator Core Functions

    • Start up and operate machines following proper procedures
    • Maintain high productivity and efficiency standards while producing the required quantity of parts within established specifications and tolerances
    • Perform tool changes, offset tools, and gauge parts
    • Inspect and gauge parts to ensure conformity to customer requirements and document results
    • Operate all equipment and identify minor faults such as defective or improperly functioning sensors
    • Troubleshoot process and machine issues
    • Perform preventive maintenance
    • Clean machines, greasing chucks, checking bolts, checking and filling fluid reservoirs, cleaning coolant tanks, etc.
    • Safely operate Forklift and Overhead Crane
    • Collaborate with fellow employees, in house departments, and Machining Manager to schedule and execute workload
    • Be passionate and inquisitive to learn all you can on the job and to gain long term skills and value
    • Care for Agritek plant and equipment and respect fellow employees
    • Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area and adhere to all company, local, state and federal protocol and safety regulations

    Quality and Administrative Responsibility

    • Measure finished parts with precision tools, ensuring compliance with function, quality, and cosmetic specifications
    • Perform all documentation and process requirements to comply with ISO:9001 quality standards
    • Look for Risk and Opportunities within the department along with Continuous Process Improvements

    Skills, Abilities, & Physical Requirements

    • Minimum 2-years of experience with CNC Mills & Lathes
    • Familiar with G and M code
    • Proven integrity and moral character
    • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
    • Ability to follow directions and work well in a team
    • Ability to measure and use basic shop tools such as calipers, micrometers, etc.
    • Mechanical aptitude in how machines function and are cared for
    • Ability to read and solve simple math problems
    • Prolonged periods working on feet, using tools, and performing repetitive actions that entail frequent bending and stooping
    • Favorable references

    Job Type: Full-time

    Typical Schedule: Mon-Fri, 7:00am-3:00pm

    Pay: starting rate $20 per hour plus a generous quarterly bonus program, rate commensurate with proven experience.

    DiffusionTek Finishing is now hiring Machine Operators for our 2nd Shift.

    DiffusionTek Finishing (a division of Agritek Industries) is a Holland based company that specializes in the innovative process of Thermal Diffusion Galvanizing. DiffusionTek was the very first licensee in North America to provide this advanced process and has continued serving our customers for more than 12 years. Additionally, DiffusionTek provides other services such part washing, part deburring and surface blasting for metal parts.

    Shift & Pay:

    • Monday – Friday
    • 1:00pm – 9:00pm, overtime available
    • $19.25/hour + 10% shift premium ($21.18)

    Position Summary:

    The Welding Manager must be skilled in manual and robotic welding, fabrication, production scheduling and efficiencies, purchasing and department management. Work also includes training, instructing, guiding and development of department personnel in proper equipment and structure repair, maintenance and weld inspection methods, techniques and procedures. The ideal candidate will be well versed in various welding techniques and knowledge of metallurgy to produce quality work in an efficient and timely manner.

     The ideal candidate will be:

    • Experienced in or willing to learn all areas of robotic welding (production, adjustments, programming)
    • Able to identify and weld different types of steel
    • Experienced in industrial metalworking processes (ex: Oxy/Acetylene cutting torch, plasma cutter, MIG welding, TIG welding, Aluminum welding, ironwork, bandsaws, shearing, etc.).
    • Strong in their organizational, leadership and communication skills.

    Core Functions

    • Utilize fabricating tools such as MIG & TIG welders, torches, plasma cutters, grinders, clamps, and other tools.
    • Recommend modifications and improvements when applicable and maintain best weld practices
    • Repair and fabricate various items and equipment using cutting, burning, and welding techniques and equipment
    • Work closely with the Quality, Maintenance/Machine Build team, Engineering and other departments as needed

    Leadership

    • Train, teach, and guide less experienced welders, in a cohesive, mentoring team environment
    • Develop and support employee improvement, growth, and job satisfaction
    • Encourage employee innovation and new ideas
    • Develop and oversee employee efficiency and productivity
    • Develop and follow best practices of the Welding department work instructions

    Department Management

    • Be a strong presence on the shop floor, observe production, audit to standards, and provide “in the moment” support and training
    • Direct and review labor allocations daily for the best use of each employee’s work hours and productivity
    • Ensure all production parts are to required standards
    • Minimize departmental down time
    • Oversee equipment, maintenance, organization and cleanliness in Welding Department area
    • Order and manage selective outsourcing, materials and supplies as required
    • Ensure that machine maintenance books are current, are followed and filled out properly
    • On-call availability for emergency situations

    Quality and Administrative Responsibility

    • Perform all documentation and process requirements to comply with ISO:9001 quality standards
    • Review Inspection Logs daily for accuracy of documented data along with reaction to any change, issues, NCRs or complaints recorded in the journal area
    • Control and document production parts
    • Ensure training for each operation is completed, documented, and maintained
    • Oversee system compliance within the department
    • Know what needs to be done, what rate is required, and staffing needs required to complete the work

    Key Performance Indicators

    • 90% of department jobs marked green on Profitability Summary (jobs within 10% of profit goal)
    • Reduction of NCRs reported in department and no customer complaints related to department work
    • ISO QMS is followed, job books are followed and properly completed
    • Thorough employee training is performed and documented
    • Welding Department preventive maintenance is performed on time and is properly documented
    • Scheduled projects and production operations completed on time and within budget
    • No delays or extra costs due to lack of supplies or inadequate planning ahead
    • Visual inspection shows area kept clean, organized and assets preserved per maintenance instructions
    • Depth of knowledge and keeping current on safety regulations and welding techniques and technology

    Minimum Job Requirements

    • 5 Years experience in robotic and manual welding/fabrication
    • Formal training preferred, certifications are a plus
    • 5 Years experience in Leadership/Management
    • Strong documented organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
    • Adept at prioritizing and handling many tasks simultaneously
    • Ability to handle physical requirements and stress related to responsibilities
    • Ability to work well with all levels of Agritek personnel, customers and suppliers
    • Proven integrity and moral character
    • Demonstrated problem-solving and trouble-shooting skills
    • Proven mechanical inclination, general math and manufacturing knowledge, and trouble-shooting skills

    Pay: Starting rate from $30 per hour plus a generous quarterly bonus program, rate commensurate with proven experience.
