Position Summary

The Tool Room Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, and supporting stamping dies and press operations to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production. This position works closely with the Tool Room, Press Room, and Production teams to minimize downtime, improve die performance, and support press setup and production troubleshooting activities.

The Technician supports and guides Press Operators by sharing technical knowledge, assisting with troubleshooting, and helping reinforce safe operating practices, quality standards, and efficient production methods. This position also contributes to continuous improvement efforts and supports overall operational efficiency throughout the Press Room.

Job Responsibilities

Press Operation & Production Support

· Support stamping press operations by assisting with setups, startups, adjustments, and production troubleshooting

· Work closely with Press Operators, Setup Technicians, and Supervisors to minimize downtime and maintain efficient production flow

· Apply strong mechanical troubleshooting skills to resolve tooling, press, and production-related issues

· Support production activities across all shifts and assist in maintaining productivity, efficiency, and part quality

· Assist in troubleshooting quality or production concerns during active press operation

Training & Mentoring

· Assist in training and supporting Press Operators and Setup personnel on tooling, troubleshooting, quality standards, and safe operating procedures

· Share technical knowledge and best practices related to die maintenance, setups, and production support

· Promote teamwork, professionalism, accountability, and a positive work environment

· Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments regarding tooling and production concerns

Tool & Die Setup / Removal / Troubleshooting

· Troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and support progressive, transfer, and line dies

· Perform die setups, adjustments, removals, and startup support according to production schedules and specifications

· Perform preventative maintenance on tooling and dies, including inspection, cleaning, lubrication, sharpening, fitting, grinding, welding, and assembly work

· Inspect tooling and dies for wear, damage, or quality concerns and perform repairs as needed

· Diagnose and correct tooling and press-related issues quickly to minimize downtime

· Assist with die modifications and tooling improvements to improve efficiency, quality, and overall die performance

· Maintain tooling documentation and communicate repair status effectively

Quality Responsibilities:

· Ensure all processes are performed according to Agritek’s QMS and ISO standards

· Document quality activities accurately and ensure no defective parts move through production

· Coach operators on quality standards and best practice

Correctly identify and report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department leader

· Ensure all production and inventory entries are complete and accurate

· Continuous Improvement & Process Optimization

· Identify opportunities for process improvements, equipment enhancements and efficiency gains

· Offer suggestions to improve die performance, tooling, and workflow

· Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, and tooling performance

Safety & Workplace Standards

· Follow all OSHA Safety rules and company policies to prevent accidents

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22 – $30 per hour plus a generous quarterly bonus plan (rate commensurate with experience).

Hours: 1st shift, Overtime regularly available (during the week and/or Saturday mornings)

Position Summary:

The Machine Builder is a hands-on technical position responsible for assembling, installing, troubleshooting, and improving machinery and automated equipment. This role works with mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, PLC, and robotic systems to support reliable equipment performance, safe operation, and production needs.

The Machine Builder will build technical skills through hands-on work, collaborate with the Engineering team, and take ownership of assigned projects from assembly and installation through testing, documentation, and ongoing improvement. The role requires strong mechanical aptitude, a commitment to safety and quality, and a practical “better, faster, cheaper” mindset.

Job Responsibilities:

Machine Build and Installation

· Assemble machinery, fixtures, and mechanical systems according to blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.

· Install and connect hydraulic and pneumatic components, checking alignment, connections, and operation.

· Install electrical components, wiring, and controls in accordance with engineering specifications and safe work practices.

· Assist with PLC installation, programming, and integration with sensors, actuators, motors, and other machine components; test systems and make adjustments as needed.

· Work toward proficiency with Agritek’s electrical power hook-ups and maintenance of 3-phase, 480-, 240-, and 110-volt systems, following applicable safety procedures.

Machine Maintenance and Troubleshooting

· Assist with the maintenance, repair, modification, and overhaul of existing machines and equipment.

· Complex problem-solving ability with effective solution implementation

· Troubleshoot equipment issues involving mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and PLC systems; identify root causes and seek support when needed.

· Work with Maintenance personnel, Engineering, and outside contractors to learn how equipment and systems are maintained, modified, and upgraded.

· Continue developing and applying technical skills to help maintain reliable, safe, and efficient Agritek equipment.

Robotic Programming and Support

· Develop proficiency in robot programming and build toward advanced capability in robotic functions.

· Configure robots to work with sensors, end-effectors, and related equipment to support proper operation.

· Help diagnose and troubleshoot robotic issues involving mechanical, electrical, or programming faults.

· Identify and implement improvements that reduce cycle time, improve accuracy, and minimize downtime.

· Maintain current records of robot programs, settings, operational data, modifications, and backups.

Job Summary:

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining Agritek’s production equipment and facility, while assisting with machine-building and continuous improvement projects. This role performs routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and general building repairs to help keep equipment and building systems operating safely and reliably. The Maintenance Technician works closely with the Maintenance Manager and Engineering team to assemble, modify, and improve machinery and fixtures, while developing technical skills and supporting production needs. The role helps minimize downtime, maintain a safe and functional facility, and promote practical, cost-conscious improvements.

Job Responsibilities:

Maintenance:

· Work with stamping presses and metal working equipment, custom automated machines, and electric forklifts.

· Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on production machinery and related equipment.

· Identify mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues and assist with repairs. Perform basic electrical troubleshooting within the limits of training and qualifications; involve the Maintenance Manager or qualified support for advanced electrical work.

· Respond to maintenance needs in a timely, cost-conscious manner to help minimize unplanned machine downtime.

· Follow established maintenance procedures, safety requirements, and best practices.

Building & Facility Maintenance:

· Perform general building repairs and upkeep as needed.

· Assist with maintaining building systems and facility equipment; identify issues and communicate needs that require additional expertise or outside support.

· Complete assigned facility maintenance and improvement tasks in a timely, cost-conscious manner.

· Work department Managers and outside contractors as needed.

Machine Building & Continuous Improvement

· Assist with the build, assembly, development, modification, and improvement of production machinery, fixtures, and related equipment.

· Support machine-building and improvement projects by preparing components, assembling equipment, and completing assigned tasks under appropriate direction.

· Work with Maintenance, Engineering, and Production to help improve equipment functionality, reliability, safety, and production efficiency.

Minimum Job Requirements

· High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training in maintenance, machining, or a related field preferred.

· 3-5 years relevant experience in industrial maintenance, machine repair, facilities maintenance, or a related manufacturing environment

· Mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot equipment and identify practical solutions.

· Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems preferred.

· Basic mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and control systems experience

· Ability to assist with machine assembly, equipment modifications, and improvement projects.

· Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, equipment manuals, and related documentation preferred.

Job Summary:

The Automatic Press Operator is responsible for safely setting up, troubleshooting, and operating automatic and manual stamping presses to produce quality metal-formed components according to production schedules, customer specifications, and established tolerances.

This position requires strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with press setup, die installation and adjustment, material feeding, machine settings, troubleshooting, and quality inspection.

Job Responsibilities:

Press Setup/Die Setting:

· Prepare and set dies in presses according to production schedules, job books, and specifications.

· Make necessary adjustments to bring parts into specification and tolerance.

· Load steel coils onto uncoilers and properly thread and feed material through the press line.

· Adjust roller pressure, feed alignment, and material positioning as necessary for proper part production.

· Adjust press settings including feed rate, stroke length, pressure, speed, and other applicable settings to optimize production and part quality.

· Perform test runs following die installation or adjustments to verify proper alignment, operation, and part conformance.

· Make adjustments to the press, die, and material feed based on part quality and production requirements.

· Recognize how material feed, alignment, tooling, and machine settings affect finished-part quality.

Press Operation:

· Safely and efficiently operate automatic and manual presses.

· Produce the required quantity of parts while maintaining established quality, productivity, and efficiency standards.

· Monitor press operation and recognize abnormal conditions before they result in defective parts, equipment damage, or unnecessary downtime.

· Monitor material usage and ensure the correct raw material is loaded and properly aligned.

· Perform die sensor troubleshooting and assist with other press-related troubleshooting.
