Agritek Industries is currently looking to add an experienced Automatic Press Operator to our team

The Ideal Candidate Will:
• Be skilled in adjusting the press to set and center dies and bring parts into tolerance
• Be experienced with loading steel coils onto uncoilers and know how to adjust roller pressure
• Understand how feed and alignment of material influence part performance
• Adjust machine settings, including feed rates, stroke length, and pressure, to optimize production and ensure product quality
• Be able to use calipers, micrometers, digital indicators, complex gauges, etc. for checking part conformance to tolerances

Press Operator Core Functions
• Safely and effectively setup, troubleshoot, and run all automatic press equipment.
• Ensure that the proper material is loaded onto uncoiler and fed efficiently into the processing equipment.
• Maintain high productivity and efficiency standards
• Install and align dies, tooling, and machine components for production run
• Work with tooling and quality personnel to troubleshoot part issues
• Perform routine die maintenance, changeovers, and minor repairs as needed
• Be passionate and inquisitive to learn all you can on the job and to gain long term skills and value
• Maintain and care for Agritek plant and equipment and respect fellow employees
• Adhere to all company, local, state, and federal protocol and safety regulations.

Quality and Administrative Responsibility
• Perform all quality checks, documentation, and process requirements to comply with Agritek’s QMS and ISO:9001 quality standards
• Correctly identify and report non-conforming parts and work with the quality control team to address issues
• Look for Risk and Opportunity within the department, suggest ideas for improving productivity, reducing waste, and enhancing product quality

We are looking for a person with:
• Must have a minimum of 2-3 years of experience with automatic metal stamping presses
• Experience with Transfer and/or Progressive Dies preferred
• Proficiency at setting up and operating all aspects of an automatic press
• Teaching skills for guiding press operators on proper work practices
• Die sensor troubleshooting experience
• Ability to troubleshoot problems at the press
• Reliable transportation
• Favorable references

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 – $28.00 per hour plus a generous quarterly bonus plan (rate commensurate with experience).

1st shift 7am – 3pm Monday-Friday
Overtime regularly available (during the week and/or Saturday mornings)

Position Summary

The Press Room Manager leads a department of 20-25 employees and oversees all functions needed to meet customer demand and drive continuous improvement for the Press Department.

The ideal candidate will:

• Be skilled in high volume, fast paced production
• Have an in-depth knowledge of the stamping/metal forming industry
• Have a passion for sharing his/her knowledge
• Be trained in the tool and die field
• Be strong in their organizational, leadership and communication skills

Management Team Leadership

• Support the definition, refinement, and integration of Agritek’s purpose, vision, and mission
• Participate in strategic planning, budgeting, and development of processes and procedures
• Collaborate with leadership to solve issues and make informed decisions
• Participate in weekly production meetings and year-end leadership planning

 Press Room Operations

• Maintain a strong daily presence on the shop floor, providing real-time support, auditing to standards, and on-the-job training
• Plan and schedule production jobs and direct daily labor allocations to maximize productivity and effective use of work hours
• Ensure all production parts meet print and quality standards by following Agritek’s QMS
• Monitor and improve employee efficiency and productivity
• Ensure Press Room preventive maintenance is properly completed and documented
• Drive innovation, continuous improvement and operational excellence within the department
• Maintain strong working knowledge of stamping techniques, technology and safety requirements

 People Management

• Orient, train, coach, and develop press room employees in alignment with Agritek’s core values
• Promote safe work practices, productivity goals and ISO 9001 compliance
• Audit employee work for accuracy, compliance, and proper documentation
• Encourage employee growth, engagement, innovation, and job satisfaction
• Maintain open, transparent, and effective communication and encourage employee engagement and innovation
• Provide support and on-call availability across all production shifts
• Conduct quarterly performance reviews and address performance issues promptly

Quality and Compliance

• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 quality standards and internal documentation requirements
• Review inspection logs daily and respond to issues, changes, NCRs, or customer complaints
• Ensure all operational training is completed, documented, and maintained

 Continuous Improvement & Hands-On Support

• Identify departmental risks and opportunities and lead continuous improvement initiatives
• Perform stamping operations, setups, and troubleshooting as needed
• Develop innovative solutions that improve efficiency, quality, time, and cost

Qualifications:

• 5-10 years minimum experience in the stamping industry
• 2-4 years formal training in the tool and die field
• Experience with production schedules and labor allocation
• Strong documented organizational, leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to handle physical requirements and stress associated with the role
• Proven engineering & mechanical aptitude
• Ability to work well with all levels of Agritek personnel
• Demonstrated integrity and moral character

This an hourly position with earning/package potential starting at $120,000/yr.
