  • CNC Machinist/Boring Mill Operator (2nd Shift)

    Machine Shop Services (a division of Agritek Industries) is a Holland based company with a wide variety of Engineering, Machining and Tooling services and capabilities, including CAD, Boring Mills, 2d-3d CNC machining, Wire EDM, surface grinding along with manual machines.

    We are a small group of highly skilled machinists using state of the art equipment and are currently seeking an experienced, highly motivated 2nd shift CNC Machinist / Boring Mill Operator to add to our team.

    Candidates must be able to verify conformance of machined work to specifications using measuring instruments. The ability to study machining instructions, job orders, or prints to determine dimensional or finish specifications, sequences of operations, setups, or tooling requirements is also a must.

    Core Functions

    CNC / Boring Mill Operation

    • Perform close tolerance detailed machine work on multiple axis boring mill
    • Set up and program machinery for boring operation using GibbsCam software
    • Troubleshoot problems efficiently
    • Check work against print and verify that work is within acceptable tolerances
    • Recognize defective tooling, machine malfunctions, and dimensional deviations.
    • Read and interpret quality information instructions.
    • Replace and adjust existing tooling in the machine to maintain production within specifications.
    • Identify areas and make recommendations where the company can make changes to improve safety, methods, part quality, machine and tooling performance, and productivity.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

    • Ability to operate one or more machines simultaneously to produce parts as directed.
    • Demonstration of proficiency in shop math, basic print reading, writing, and print reading.
    • Demonstration of a strong work ethic and a self-starter.
    • Use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
    • Use judgment to plan, perform, and make decisions about the sequence of setups and processes within the limits of recognized or standard methods and procedures.
    • Perform work with accuracy and thoroughness to avoid costly mistakes
    • Seek personal growth, development, and work with an ownership mentality

    Minimum Job Requirements

    • Minimum 5 years of experience with programing and operating Boring Mills and CNCs
    • Ability to execute High Precision job shop work
    • Exceptional mechanical understanding and knowledge of how things work
    • Excellent tool and machining skills and good math and geometry skills
    • Proven track record of integrity
    • Ability to work well with others
    • Physically and mentally able to handle Core Functions

    Core Functions

    • Perform welding operations following general instructions and according to established shop practices.
    • Load work pieces onto weld fixture and cycle machine to join components.
    • Some manual MIG welding
    • Collaborate with fellow employees, in house departments, and Welding Supervisor to schedule and execute workload
    • Maintain high productivity and efficiency standards

    • Examine metal product or assemblies to ensure specifications are met.
    • Correctly identify and handle non-conforming products.

    Minimum Job Requirements

    • Manufacturing/Machine Operator experience preferred
    • Robotic Welding experience a plus

    • Minimum 18 years of age

    Responsibilities will include packing stamped parts as they come off the Press, some manual/single hit press operations, quality checks to ensure parts meet all quality specifications, and perform general utility work to meet work schedule.

    The Part-Time Cost Analyst is responsible for generating accurate financial, cost, and labor reports for projects and production, identify and investigate problem areas and provide feedback on root causes of issues. The schedule is flexible and approximately 10-15 hours per week.

    The Ideal Candidate Will:

    • Estimate product costs for existing and new products
    • Review and conduct audits of labor database entries
    • Monitor changes in processes or methods to calculate effects on overall costs
    • Enjoy problem solving, repetitive tasks, data entry, analysis, and numbers
    • Have a high attention to detail and be able to work with numbers and spreadsheets for extended periods of time
    • Be able to navigate different screens and programs at the same time
    • Work with the Project Team to create new cost analysis spreadsheets

    We are looking for a person with:

    • Basic accounting and costing knowledge
    • Experience and high integrity in handling confidential information
    • Efficiency and knowledge in Excel, reports, profit and loss, etc.
    • QuickBooks knowledge (a plus but not required)
    • Knowledge of inventory

     

    Job Type: Part-time (approx 10-15 hours/wk)

    Pay: starting rate $22+ per hour (rate commensurate with proven experience)

  • Experienced Automatic Press Operator (2nd Shift)

    Agritek Industries is currently seeking applicants to fill an experienced Automatic Press Operator position. The Press Operator will use automatic or semi-automatic machines or machine tools to shape and form metal products or parts.

    The Ideal Candidate Will:

    • Be skilled in adjusting the press to set and center dies and bring parts into tolerance
    • Be experienced with loading steel coils onto uncoilers
    • Make sure coil is aligned from uncoiler through to the die
    • Know how to adjust roller pressure on said equipment to influence material presentation and control through the die
    • Understand how feed and alignment of material influence part performance
    • Be able to use calipers, micrometers, digital indicators, complex gauges for checking part conformance to tolerances

    We are looking for a person with:

    • Experience with automatic metal stamping presses
    • Proficiency at setting up and operating all aspects of an automatic press
    • Ability to troubleshoot problems at the press
    • Favorable references

    Job Type: Full-time 1st or 2nd shift
